Kitchen Creativity!

You've heard the old adage, "The world is your classroom," - why not make your kitchen part of that learning experience?

This month, in honor of National Nutrition Month, we've been sharing different ideas of creating healthy eating habits. We've encouraged you to choose one idea to focus upon.

Our final suggestion this month is to bring your children into the kitchen! Making them part of the meal preparation will yield dividends for years to come. Not only can you teach them math, budgeting, cooking, and how to make healthy food choices, you can create a lasting bond that they will treasure.

Getting creative in how you involve family members is important. When your family has input in menu planning, shopping trips and preparation, they have a vested interest in the outcome. Letting them understand all that goes into meal preparation is sure to increase their respect for the time you dedicate to caring for their needs.
