Everybody loves a bright white smile, and there are a variety of products and procedures available to help you improve the look of yours.
Many people are satisfied with the sparkle they get from brushing twice daily with a fluoride-containing toothpaste, cleaning between their teeth once a day and the regular cleanings at your dentist’s office. If you decide you would like to go beyond this to make your smile look brighter, you should investigate all of your options."

There are basically three options you have for whitening your teeth:
  1. In Office Bleaching

Edible Pumpkin Mousse Baskets
from Mr. Food.com

Serves: 6
Cooking Time: 10 min
Ingredients
·         Cooking spray
·         6 (8-inch) flour tortillas
·         1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
·         1 (15-ounce) can 100% pure pumpkin (not pie filling)
·         1 (6-serving) package instant vanilla pudding and pie filling
·         1/4 cup milk
·         1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
·         2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

  2. Spray tortillas on both sides with cooking spray. Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon sugar on each side and place each in the cup of a large muffin tin, forming 6 baskets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until light golden; allow to cool.

  3. In a medium bowl, with an electric beater on medium speed, beat pumpkin, pudding mix, milk, and cinnamon until well blended. Fold in whipped topping until thoroughly blended then spoon mousse into tortilla baskets. Cover loosely and chill until ready to serve.

Crescent Surprise!

INGREDIENTS
2 (8 oz.) cans refrigerated quick crescent dinner rolls
16 lg. marshmallows
1/4 c. butter, melted
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2-3 tsp. milk
1/4 c. finely chopped nuts, optional

For the glaze: Combine powdered sugar and vanilla with enough milk until thin enough to drizzle.

DIRECTIONS
  1. Separate crescent dough into 16 triangles.  Combine sugar and cinnamon. Dip a marshmallow in melted butter; roll in sugar mixture.
  2. Wrap a dough triangle around each marshmallow; completely cover marshmallow and squeezing edges to form a tight seal. (I usually start at the wide end and pinch as I roll up the marshmallow covering it completely.)
  3. Dip in melted butter and place buttered side down in deep muffin cups.  Repeat with remaining marshmallows.

Place tins on a cookie sheet to guard against spills in oven. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes until golden brown. Immediately remove from pans and drizzle with glaze. Sprinkle with nuts. Serve warm or cold.

Regular Dental Checkups and Cleanings Can Save Your Life!

Did you know that poor oral hygiene can lead to medical problems such as gum disease, infection, heart disease, stroke, and even bone loss?  The easiest way to prevent these problems is to have regular checkups and cleanings.

Sometimes it’s the simple things that we know we should do, that we seem to put last on our list, or simply ignore.  But regular checkups and dental cleanings can give you peace of mind knowing that you are taking charge of your health.  It’s like giving a gift to yourself!

Here is a great article entitled, “Top 10 Reasons to Have a Dental Cleaning” by Tammy Davenport at Ask.com, that I think you will find informative and helpful.  If it’s been awhile since you’ve had a checkup call us now to schedule an appointment.  If you are up to date, make sure that your next dental cleaning is on your calendar for the upcoming year.  These checkups provide a great way to stay abreast of what is happening inside your mouth and to help you know what you can do to stay healthy!

Can It Really Be That Simple?

Do you find yourself as the saying goes “running like a chicken with your head cut off?”  In your quest to “get it all done” do feel like you are coming up short at the end of the day?  If you answered yes, you are not alone.  In fact, the majority of people feel like they will never get to the end of their “to do” lists.  Unfortunately exposing ourselves and our families to this harried pace of life leaves many of us feeling tired, depressed, sick or simply empty.

Who wants to feel like that day after day?  As a matter of fact, if we allow ourselves to live in this type of a environment continually it will take it’s toll one way or another.  We have a great suggestion that could be the “Pick Me Up” you need.  It’s Gratitude.  Yes, you read it correctly, GRATITUDE.  Many studies have shown that taking the time to list, ponder upon and express gratitude for your daily blessings can greatly increase your mood, health and overall wellbeing.

Elizabeth Heubeck, from WebMD, poses the question, “What would happen if we extended the tradition of giving thanks, typically celebrated just once a year during the holiday season, throughout the entire year? Such gratitude would be rewarded with better health, say researchers.”  She goes on to further explore and suggest the impact that gratitude can have in your life.  We encourage you to take a minute to read her insightful article.  You can access the article by clicking on this link:  http://women.webmd.com/features/gratitute-health-boost

Find the GRATITUDE and the HAPPINESS will follow!
